Make the most out of fundraising

First things, first - login to access your fundraising dashboard. This is where you can set a fundraising target, create a Facebook Fundraiser, upload a profile pic, and share your reason for pushing.

Next steps are to donate to yourself - people who support themselves are more likely to raise more donations. Then start sharing your fundraising page far and wide - SMS, email, WhatsApp - there's templates there to help.

Want to have fun with fundraising? Put the word out that you'll do your push-ups in a funny, challenging or silly (but safe and legal) way for a donation amount of your choice. Think $100 to do push-ups while belting out a song in public. You get the idea.

Keep scrollling for our top 3 fundraising tips. Or we've got plenty more fundraising tips and tricks if you're keen.

Rally the crew and your get your friends, family and work colleagues on board. The more the merrier.

Sign up solo, as part of a Team or a Community. Being part of a Team is a great way to enjoy some chats and banter and help keep each other on track. The bigger your crew, the bigger the impact you can make as you push. It's easy to set up or join a Team - head to your dashboard and follow the prompts from there.

You can recruit others to join you too - sms, email, in person. Find templates in your dashboard to get the push-up party started.

Each day of the Challenge, you'll receive a Mental Health Fact which corresponds to your daily push-up goal. Read it and share it to start important conversations, boost mental health awareness and mental fitness, and help smash the stigma.

Fundraise to make a difference

The funds you raise through The Push-Up Challenge will help the Canadian Mental Health Association improve mental health outcomes across the country.

CMHA identifies and responds to Canada's most pressing mental health priorities on both a national and grassroots level. At a national level, they push for a nationwide system and social change. At a community level, millions of people in Canada rely on CMHA's extensive grassroots presence for mental health programs and services. Find out more about the impact your funds raised are having on mental health in Canada.

ASK FAMILY & FRIENDS

Reach out directly via text or email to request support from your loved ones. A personal message and direct request can lead to big fundraising results. Here's an example:

"I am pushing myself to complete The Push-Up Challenge to raise much needed funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association. The challenge is to complete 2,000 push-ups in 23 days. This is important to me because ~2,000 lives are lost to suicide each day, worldwide. Will you donate to help me push for better mental health outcomes? You can donate here: [insert your individual fundraising link]."
