Year 2: Let’s GO!!!
I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to challenge myself while raising awareness and funds for mental health! I never considered myself an active person, but as I get older I realize it's more about building a simple routine for to maintain physical fitness rather than pushing for high achievement (naming my perfectionist tendency here!) I love the idea of using physical health to promote mental health, because they go hand in hand. Our mind, body, and soul are our own to take care of.
I started my personal therapy journey a few months ago and have found support like this to be extremely helpful and important as we navigate through life's ups and downs, as well as the increasing stresses that accumulate in this fast-paced world we live in. I really hope to encourage the people around me to see its value.

I chose to support the CMHA branch in Kenora because I think it's a smaller community in Ontario that probably could do better with more support! I wanted to find a group that actively provides safe beds for folks in the winter & prioritize mental health support for Indigenous people, and I like what they are doing. I am hopeful that together we can give them a little boost!
