About My Challenge
From February 5–27, I’m taking on The Push Up Challenge: 2,000 push-ups in 23 days.
This is my first year as a #pushuper, and I’m doing it alongside three of my close friends with equal parts accountability and chaos.
I’m fundraising in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association, with all donations going to CMHA Waterloo Wellington.
I was born and raised in Toronto, but I wanted to spotlight Waterloo Wellington this month because it’s a community that helped shape my young adult life. I spent 4+ years at the University of Waterloo, and so many of my formative memories tied to the region—the late nights studying, celebrating milestones, lifelong friendships, and the quieter moments of learning how to navigate adulthood. Even though I don’t live there now, Waterloo Wellington and the community will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the people and experiences that came from that chapter of my life.
Everyone’s mental health journey comes with highs, lows, and everything in between. Over the past two years, I’ve been wearing a lot of different hats—learning to balance new responsibilities and constant change—without a shortage in new roles, expectations, and a lot of moving pieces while trying to stay present and take care of myself along the way. There were stretches where it felt like I was sprinting just to keep up, and other moments that reminded me how meaningful it is to grow through discomfort. It’s been challenging, but also genuinely rewarding to meet new people, learn new perspectives, and reflect on a lot of growth that I am proud of.
If you’re able, I’d be grateful for your support:
- Donate (even $10 helps)
- Share this post to help it reach others who care about the cause

Make a Difference with The Push-Up Challenge
When you fundraise for CMHA Waterloo Wellington through The Push-Up Challenge, you’re helping people access the mental health services they need—and deserve.
“I was scared of change and afraid of being labelled. I thought a diagnosis would define me forever. But getting help was the turning point.”
Thanks to CMHA WW, lives are transformed. One participant shared how a simple text from a CMHA WW worker led to counselling, support, and a renewed sense of hope. Today, they have a strong care network and a deeper understanding of their mental health—and their family is more informed too.
Your Impact, Dollar by Dollar
