About My Challenge

There are significant stressors and trauma associated with being a wildland fire or for other first responders. As our fire seasons get busier, longer and have increasing impacts on communities, the mental health toll it has on first responders is likely only to increase. I don't know many colleagues who haven't suffered with mental health challenges or don't at least know someone who has.

I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness about the mental health impacts on first responders. Please support me as I #pushforbetter in June.

Supporting CMHA British Columbia - Kelowna

CMHA Kelowna & District creates opportunities and connections for people of all ages to understand and nurture their mental health and well-being. Through the creation of innovative programs and supports, we help people develop skills and resilience so they can live their best lives possible.

In 2026, we’re aiming to expand vital services to West Kelowna to reach more youth, adults and families in need of mental health support. Help us push for better mental health so everyone in our region can thrive.
