Why I’m Doing the Push-Up Challenge 🦈
This challenge isn’t just about push-ups.
It’s about showing up — even on the days when it feels impossible.
Mental health hits close to home for me. In ways that are personal, heavy, and not always easy to put into words. I’ve seen how quietly people struggle. I’ve felt what it’s like to carry things you don’t talk about, to push through when your mind feels heavier than your body ever could.
That’s why I’m committing to 2,000 push-ups in 23 days — from February 5–27 — to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Some days, getting out of bed is the hardest rep.
Some days, just staying afloat feels like a win.
This challenge is my way of turning pain into purpose. Of moving my body when my mind feels stuck. Of reminding myself — and others — that strength doesn’t always look loud or confident. Sometimes strength is just choosing to keep going.
Every push-up represents resilience.
Every rep is a reminder that we’re still here, still fighting, still moving forward — even when the waters get rough.
All proceeds from this challenge directly support the Canadian Mental Health Association, helping fund mental illness recovery and foster positive mental health across Canada.
If this challenge starts a conversation, encourages someone to move their body, or reminds even one person that they’re not alone — then it’s worth it.
Please consider supporting, sharing, or cheering me on as I #PushForBetter.
Shark Attack isn’t about perfection.
It’s about survival — and rising anyway. 🦈💪
