2,000 Push-ups for the battles we fight in silence.

For the next 22 days, my team and I are taking on the challenge of completing 2,000 push-ups for mental health. But this isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about the strength it takes to keep going when your mind tells you to stop.

My "why" is deeply personal. For the last 8+ years, I have been actively healing my mental health quadrant. But 6 years ago, my healing was kicked into high gear by a tragedy that shook me to my core.

We lost my cousin, Delaine Lambert-English.

If you knew Delaine, you knew she was a pure, radiant light. She could walk into a room and instantly mesmerize you with her presence. She was a force to be reckoned with—pouring her heart and passion into everything she touched. To see someone with so much love to give be hindered by the struggle of mental health changed me forever.

It made me realize that you can try to save the world, but still carry the debilitating burden of intrusive thoughts.

I learned that mental health isn't a destination; it is an active choice I have to make every single day. I have to prioritize my mental health just as much as I prioritize my emotional, physical, and spiritual quadrants.

Every push-up I do in this challenge represents the daily "reps" required to heal. I am doing this to honor Delaine’s light, and to support everyone currently fighting to find their own.

Please consider donating to my fundraiser. Let’s prove that no one has to fight alone.
