Savannah Rose Bell F26

In February 2026, I'm joining The Push-Up Challenge to complete 2,000 push-ups over 23 days, in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

Each push-up in this nationwide effort represents one of the nearly 2,000 lives lost to suicide every single day around the world. For me, though, those numbers aren't abstract—they carry the weight of a single, devastating loss that changed my life forever.

Just over a year ago, I lost my beautiful daughter, Savannah Rose Bell, at the age of 26, to suicide. The pain of her absence is constant, a quiet ache that lives in every ordinary moment. She was kind, creative, fiercely loved, and far too young to leave us. Her death reminded me in the most shattering way how urgently we need better mental health support, more open conversations, and real hope for those who are struggling.

This challenge isn't about proving physical strength—it's about showing up, day after day, even when it's hard. It's a small, tangible way to honor Savannah's memory, to channel grief into something purposeful, and to help ensure others don't face the same darkness alone. By participating and fundraising for CMHA, I'm helping support the programs, crisis lines, community services, and advocacy that can make a real difference in people's lives.

If you're able, I would be deeply grateful for your support—whether through a donation, sharing this message, or even joining the challenge yourself. Together, we can push for better mental health, break the silence around suicide, and remind every person who needs it that they matter.

In loving memory of Savannah Rose Bell. Let's keep pushing—for her, for all of them, and for everyone still here fighting to stay. 💛
