DFO NL Region – Push-Up Challenge 2026
Supporting CMHA • Building Strength • Building Community
Welcome to the Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Newfoundland and Labrador Region Push-Up Challenge 2026! 🎉
This year, teams from across our offices are coming together for a friendly, region‑wide competition designed to promote physical wellness, boost team morale, and—most importantly—raise awareness for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
Why We’re Doing It
Mental health matters.
By participating in this challenge, we’re shining a spotlight on the importance of mental wellness, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations—one push‑up at a time. Every rep is a reminder that support is stronger when we lift together.
Who We Are
We’re a diverse group of employees from offices throughout the NL Region—scientists, administrative staff, fisheries officers, program teams, and everyone in between—joining forces to move, motivate, and have fun. Whether we’re seasoned fitness buffs or just giving push‑ups a try, we’re here with the same goal: connection, wellness, and community spirit.
The Challenge
Over the course of the challenge, our teams will:
- Complete daily push‑ups
- Track progress collectively
- Cheer each other on
- Celebrate milestones
- Share positive messages about mental health
- And of course… engage in some friendly competition!
Our Spirit
We’re competitive (in a fun way!), supportive, and proud of the work we do—both in protecting our oceans and strengthening our workplace culture. This challenge is all about teamwork, encouragement, and reminding each other that wellness belongs to all of us.
Join Us on the Journey
Follow along as we push, laugh, and raise awareness together. Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines or pushing alongside us, thank you for supporting CMHA and helping us make mental health a priority in 2026.
Stronger together. One team. One region. One push‑up at a time. 💪🌊
