What I’m Pushing For:

I’m completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association. Please support me as I #pushforbetter from February 5-27.

All proceeds help the Canadian Mental Health Association support mental illness recovery and foster positive mental health in Canada.

This event is very personal to me. I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety in 2020, and recently diagnosed with ADHD. I struggled with suicidal ideation on and off since I was a teen, leading to almost attempting suicide in 2017. The work of God, mental health services like this, and clinical counselling saved my life.

I support the CMHA’s cause because the stigma around mental illness needs to change, and people suffering need more easily accessible services.

I wish I knew about these services sooner, but even then, you can really just feel hopeless when you’re the one suffering. We need to change the narrative. We need to educate people with the truths about mental illness and suicide. To show those suffering that there truly is hope. To make it actually feel safe to reach out.

Many people you know are suffering in silence right now as you read this. You never know who’s watching, and might be hoping for someone like you that they can feel safe opening up to without fear of being judged or misunderstood.

By educating yourself, sharing what you learn with those around you, and working to not be part of the problem, you can truly make a difference.

Please consider supporting this cause!
