About My Challenge
I’m taking on the Push-Up Challenge for something very close to my heart.
My late husband Gary battled mental illness, and tragically, he lost his life to it. Like so many others, he suffered quietly in a world where mental health is still too often misunderstood, minimised, or surrounded by stigma.
I’m fundraising to honour his memory, to raise awareness, and to help break down the stigma around mental health. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate, and no one should feel ashamed or alone for struggling. We need more open conversations, better support, and greater compassion.
By supporting this challenge, you’re helping fund vital mental health services and sending a message that it’s okay to talk, to ask for help, and to not be okay sometimes. Together, we can help save lives and make sure others don’t have to face their battles alone.
