About Our Challenge

I'm completing 2,000 push-ups/movements in 23 days to raise awareness for the Canadian Mental Health Association. I am pretty sure that by the time the challenge starts, I still will not be feeling well enough to accomplish 2000 push-ups. That’s really not the main objective for me.  ‘2000’ is a significant statistic as it represents the 2000 lives lost to suicide each day, worldwide.

Despite the difficulties that our Parker family have experienced throughout the years concerning mental health, I am proud of our ‘Parker’ Legacy! I am sooo proud to be a Parker!

I am understanding more and more of the importance of physical movement and the benefits that it has on our physical, mental and emotional well-being.  For me, I’ve tried to choose some form of this in my day-to-day life. Many times I have done well and others …not so.  I happen to be in one of those ‘not so’ phases.

Despite this, I will still continue to choose living a life full of vitality, exercise, outdoors all the while engaging with others.
