In memory

On February 10, 2024, our good friend Sun Le took his life. The loss came without warning. No obvious signs, no clear moments we can point to in hindsight. One day he was here, and the next he was gone, leaving behind an emptiness that words struggle to capture. What remains is a quiet, sinking feeling shared by all of us who loved him: the wish that we had known more, asked more, or done more.

Sun was someone who mattered deeply. He was a friend, a presence, a part of our lives that cannot be replaced. His absence is felt every single day, in small moments, in shared memories, and in the spaces where his laughter and voice used to be.

We are pushing up in Sun’s honour not just to remember him, but to stand for something bigger than our own grief. We do this in the hope that others who are struggling won’t feel as alone as Sun may have felt, and that conversations, support, and compassion can reach people before it’s too late. Every push-up is an act of remembrance, of love, and of commitment to looking out for one another.

We miss him every day. And with every push-up, we carry Sun with us—remembering who he was, what he meant to us, and why it’s so important to show up for the people we care about.
